Planning your first visit to Bhuj's Swaminarayan Temple
If this is your first trip to Bhuj, a little planning goes a long way. The Swaminarayan Temple sees a steady flow of devotees through the day, with the calmest darshan windows usually right after the morning aarti and again in the late evening once the day's crowd has thinned.
Give yourself time to settle in before heading out. Arriving in the evening, resting properly at Vishranti Bhuvan, and starting fresh the next morning makes the whole visit feel unhurried rather than rushed off a train or bus.
Once darshan is done, Bhuj rewards a slow day — the Aina Mahal, Kutch Museum and Hamirsar Lake are all close by and easy to cover on foot or by a short auto ride from Shivkrupa Nagar.
